Is RenoTender an interior design company?
RenoTender is not a renovation or interior design company and we do not carry out renovation works. We are a true renovation platform that allows homeowners to get the most competitive quote through our renovation tender platform and to get inspired by our AI Design robots and our Interior Design IDs

Will using RenoTender help me to reduce my renovation cost?
Yes definitely. RenoTender is the first and only AI tender-based renovation platform for property owners to upload your renovation projects for our registered ID/Contractors to bid for your project at the most competitive and transparent pricing.
Will I get spam or unsolicited calls from ID or contractors after I have provided by contact details?
No, in RenoTender we respect your personal privacy. Hence, all your contact details are kept confidential in our vault. After you have received bids for your renovation project, only IDs whom you have shortlisted will be provided with your contact information.
Is RenoTender reliable?
(a) A strong yes! As homeowners ourselves, we pride ourselves on building a transparent and trustworthy platform that helps homeowners simplify their renovation journey.
(b) Apart from screening and continuously monitoring all interior firms that are onboard, we encourage real homeowners to leave reviews on their renovation experience, be it good or bad.
Are the IDs on RenoTender trustworthy?
Yes. Before registering our IDs, RenoTender will perform a review process, including but not limited to, checking the firm’s ACRA registration details, cross-checking with industry partners etc. IDs are only invited to list if they are a good fit for RenoTender.
We continuously monitor the quality of our IDs listed on RenoTender against verified feedbacks left by homeowners. Companies with repeated negative feedbacks are deregistered from our portal.
However, there may still be bad eggs amongst us. Therefore, we highly recommend our customers to exercise due diligence and perform additional assessment before you commit to any contractual agreement.
Does RenoTender receive any commission from interior design firms?
We do not receive any commission/charge back from any of our IDs. The choice to appoint of any contractor(s) is entirely up to you. RenoTender is not involved in the process and we do not influence any of our IDs in any way. Our IDs merely pay us a fixed listing fee to keep us going!
I will only collect my keys 6 months or longer, can I still use RenoTender to upload my renovation job for tender?
Yes, you can. The process of shortlisting for a suitable ID or contractor will need time. However, we do not recommend if your key collection is expected to be more than a year later as the quotation received could be outdated by the time you are ready to renovation.
I own a commercial property, can I use RenoTender to tender for my renovation job?
Yes, certainly. We have a commercial module to cater to commercial property owners.
If I need someone to guide me in creating a tender job whom can I approach?
RenoTender is designed intuitively with users in mind, hence most of the required information are available on our portal. However, should you require assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at support@renotender.com.sg.
Tender Process
If I do not wish to upload my renovation job as a tender, can I just request for IDs to call me instead?
Yes, kindly drop us an email at support@renotender.com.sg and we will arrange for you.
Do I need to register for an account to create a tender job?
To ensure all tender jobs submitted are legitimate and also for our shortlisted contractors to contact you.
How accurate should I provide my renovation request?
You should provide as much information as possible so that our IDs can provide a reasonably accurate bid. This is the same when you walk into a physical ID company, you should provide an accurate description of the works required so that the quotation provided will be accurate.
Why do I need to provide all the renovation details before I could put up my renovation job for tender?
Similar to walking into an ID company today, you will also need to provide adequate details for our IDs to provide a proper quotation in their bids. The saving grace here is that you only need to provide once and not to every ID that you meet physically before RenoTender came into existence.
Is it compulsory to submit a hand drawn floor plan?
Providing a hand drawn of your proposed furniture placement will provide a more accurate picture for our IDs to visualize resulting in a more accurate quotation. In addition, our IDs will be able to provide their professional advise to the placement of your furniture to optimize space and to ensure safety.
Do renovation prices include furniture and appliances?
Most of the renovation prices within projects DO NOT include furniture and appliances unless otherwise stated.
Are submitted bid price final?
The bid price provided by our IDs are based on your inputs. However, depending on actual site conditions, our IDs will still need to perform physical site assessment and if there are unforeseen or additional works, this may result in adjustment to the quotes provided earlier.
How long should I wait typically before I get a response from ID / Contractors?
Typically, about a week or 2. You will be notified via email provided during your registration. Hence, please ensure that you have provided a correct email address for us to reach out to you.
Will I be able to get ID/Contractors’ recommendations in person?
After your job is uploaded to our portal, interested IDs will bid for your jobs via our portal. The prices submitted are only visible to you as our registered account holder. Once you have shortlisted the job to selected IDs that you like, they will make contact with you to further discuss on your design and required works. (We value your privacy, hence your contact will not be made available to non-shortlisted IDs)
Shortlisting Process
What if there are no ID/Contractor tendering for my renovation job?
A few common reasons why no IDs is tendering for your job could be due to:
(a) Hold a little longer, by experience some of our IDs will submit their tender nearer to the closure date as stipulated by you.
(b) The ambiguity of your project description or incomplete information provided.
(c) The reasonableness of your allocated spending limited (for example indicating a spending limit of $10 for a total makeover of 3 bathrooms).

When should you start to shortlist IDs/Contractors who have submitted their tender?
You can study their submitted quotations as soon as you have received them. We would recommend that you start shortlisting after the closure of your renovation project.
How many IDs / Contractors should I shortlist if I have received multiple bids/tender?
Our recommendation is to accept a few so that you can make comparison to get the best deal.
What happens to those IDs/contractors who have submitted their tender but I have not shortlisted them?
Only shortlisted IDs/contractors by you will receive your contact details and will contact you shortly for further discussion.
How do I shortlist and choose from so many IDs / contractors who have tendered for my renovation job?
You are recommended to use our filtering module within your dashboard to shorten the list based on criteria that matters to you.
What happens if an ID/contractor which I have shortlisted (based on lowest bid) but subsequently revised quote and mark up substantially (for the same works which I have submitted on the portal)?
We believe that all our IDs are honest and righteous, however, you could report your grievances to our support team to investigate.
AI Design and 3D Rendering
Do I need to pay for using the AI Designer Module?
The AI Designer Module is totally free for registered home owners to use.
Can I render as many 3D images that I want?
Try not to, the more images you generate, the more you will be spoilt for choices. Our AI designers are here to assist you with a general high level design concept. Our IDs will still provide their in-house rendering services upon request.
Is it compulsory to use the AI module provided in RenoTender to provide a 3D design of my space?
No, this is optional. For those who are more adventurous and have ideas to communicate to our IDs, this will be a good reference point to articulate the ideas that you may have in your mind. The AI design module can also help to provide some design ideas and to provide inspiration for your consideration.
Can I save home ideas generated by AI Designer that I really like?
Yes, you can, we are not stingy about anything. All design generated by our AI Designer are saved in our cloud. In a similar fashion, you may reference designs done by other property owners. This service is totally free for you to reference and download.
Can I generate a 3D of my home and not use the services of RenoTender, but bring it to an ID/Contractor which I may be more familiar with?
Yes, you can, but if I were you, I would rather put it through RenoTender to make sure I am getting the most value for money deal.
Award and Post Renovation
After I have shortlisted and discussed with the ID/Contractors how do I award the job to the selected one?
You do not need to go through RenoTender to award your renovation job to the selected ID/Contractor. The award of the renovation job is done outside of RenoTender. However, after completion of the job, do remember to provide your feedback to us of your overall experience and we will reward you for your effort.
Can I award to more than 1 ID/contractor for different renovation services?
Yes, you may. However, you may want to consider awarding to 1 main contractor to ease coordination and supervision.
Is it compulsory to provide my feedback after job completion?
Not compulsory but highly recommended because your sharing will help us to improve on our services. In addition, we will give you token of appreciation the feedback that you have given to us.
Will my reviews be removed?
In line with building a transparent and trustworthy platform, we do not remove any reviews unless they do not meet our posting guidelines, such as spam, inappropriate language or fraudulent reviews. For more details, refer to our Internal Governance Policy.

Yes, Renotender caters to tender jobs relating to renovation services.

How are tenders evaluated?
